Woodland Hills / Lavista Park / Lindridge Martin Manor
WOODLAND HILLS, LAVISTA PARK and LINDRIDGE MARTIN MANOR
Woodland Hills is quietly tucked in between Morningside, Buckhead, and Emory in Atlanta and is bordered by the following roads; Lenox, Lindbergh/LaVista, and Briarcliff. The neighborhood (a cotton field in the 1800's) was built in the 1950's by the Shepard Construction Company and primarily for the Veterans returning from WWII. Many of the homes in the neighborhood have had the same owner for many years and it's great to hear their stories about the surrounding areas, many other homes have been torn down to make way for larger, more modern homes. There is an optional neighborhood association that is responsible for maintaining the sense of community, as well as working closely with the South Fork Conservancy on the Confluence Trail which offers an awesome view of the urban architecture.
Lavista Park is directly across from Woodland Hills and features mid-century modern construction on larger estate lots with a good mix of newer construction that has taken place in the past few years with more modern homes.
Lindridge Martin Manor is another nearby neighborhood consisting of homes that you would find in both Woodland Hills and Lavista Park.
The neighborhoods all feature nearby shopping and dining and excellent access to major interstates.
